Verzio is the primary documentary film event and the only human rights film festival in Hungary. It is organized annually since 2004 and showcases creative documentaries from all over the world as well as runs educational screenings for high-school students, industry events, exhibitions, and concerts. The festival has several competitions awarding Best Human Rights Film, Best Hungarian Film, Best Debut/Diploma Film, and giving out Audience Award on the basis of student voting. Since 2021, the festival takes place in hybrid form countrywide.
