Mariam, a filmmaker from Georgia, is the founder of OpyoDoc production company and co-founder of DOCA Documentary Association Georgia. Her first feature documentary, Listen To The Silence, won The Golden Dove in Next Masters Competition at DOK Leipzig 2016. Since then, Mariam has produced films for other directors. Mariam’s new film Magic Mountain, which she produced and co-directed with Nik Voigt, received the Best Film award at DocsBarcelona 2023, Silver Apricot at Golden Apricot 2023 and Young Onion at Makedox 2023. Currently, Mariam is working on two new films in the early production stage: Nana's Wind and We Are The Granddaughters of The Witches You Couldn't Burn. In addition to her filmmaking endeavors, Mariam has been working as a documentary filmmaker tutor for the past 7 years.
