I am a Lebanese film director, sound designer and music composer and I am based in Helsinki, Finland. My films take various forms ranging from cinematographic essays, to video art, to fiction, very often intertwined. Mostly, they tackle the subjects of oppression and confinement generated by social and political pressures. I try to translate their impact on bodies and individual behavior through sounds and images. As a sound designer, editor and foley artist, I have worked in the cinema industry on international fiction feature films among which “Honeyland”, “You will die at twenty”, “1982”, “Memory Box” & “The River”. I have also worked on short films, documentaries, essays, series and commercials.
